Hailee turns 2 in just a few short days.
So we have been working double time on completing her new bedroom before her birthday. We have made some major upgrades to her bedroom that styled a once white crib and changing table. We decided it was time for her to transition to a big girl bed, as she was attempting to escape her crib on the daily. It’s bittersweet but I think she is really enjoying her new space, and this bedroom makeover we’ve done.
We ditched the crib and said hello to this beautiful silver Disney Princess Set, from Rooms to Go Kids. This set included the bed, dresser and this gorgeous heart shaped mirror. All these pieces have amazing bow and rose detailing. I somehow manage to always buy white furniture, so this was a nice change for once.
We also upgraded her wall decor.
It was such a fun project, that I cannot wait to share with you! We got the peony decals from Urban Walls.
It comes in a roll to keep the decals in good condition. I went ahead and unrolled it and cut out each piece to my liking. When cutting the decals it does not have to be exact, just enough for you to see the placement of them when you place them on your wall as a trial.
They are so simple to apply!
I taped them on Hailee’s wall to see how I’d like them to flow and to get a good idea of where I’d like them to be placed. The leaves can be placed first when actually applying your decals to the wall to get a more realistic look. I hid the top portion of the stems behind the peonies so it had that layered effect. Once you like the placement you’ll remove the sticky paper the decals are applied to and place the flowers on the wall. I used an old Starbucks card to flatten out the paper and really get a good adhesive to the wall. Here’s the finished product and a shot of the beautiful decals unfiltered.
Hailee’s big girl room still needs a few more touches to be completely done, but we are loving seeing her enjoy her new space. And these beautiful decals from Urban Walls are just the perfect touch.
