How to keep your baby’s skin moisturized

Thank you Baby Dove for sponsoring this post.

I don’t know about you, but my daughter just loves bath time! Maybe it’s the fact that she gets to move around in the water and play, maybe it’s the sensation of the water splashing under her fingertips, or maybe it’s the bubbles and suds that fascinate her. I know bath time has become my favorite time too. I love knowing that I get to spend these special moments with her and bond over rubber duckies and bath mitts. Her laughs are contagious and usually fill the room with such joy. Bath time is also where we start or end our day. That’s why I have come to love, and now exclusively use, Baby Dove’s Rich Moisture Tip to Toe Wash for every bath. And you guys, to be perfectly honest, I will never go back to any other brand! Let me tell you why.

As a mom of two I have used so many different brands over the years. Some that claim to solve itchiness, dryness, use less chemicals, are made and promoted by well-known actresses, or have the most expensive looking packaging known to mankind. And because of this we are sometimes fooled. I remember getting multiple different brands for my baby showers, and also purchasing some really expensive formulas, to find the perfect fit for my baby, and still come up short.

Baby Dove’s Rich Moisture Tip to Toe Wash is delicate enough for Kimberlee’s skin and really does help her to retain her natural moisture. I was not only pleasantly surprised by the scent of their products, but also at how much softer my baby’s skin felt with a simple bath. With other brands I always felt her skin was so dry after her baths. I was happy knowing that my baby was clean, but was never really satisfied with how her skin felt after, and always had to overcompensate when it came to moisturizing. Now that the colder months are coming around, I’m so happy I have found a brand that works for us! I now know that I will not have to be applying tons of lotion to help my baby’s skin stay hydrated.

Now I’m not going to lie, after the bath is over, it can get pretty rough. Once the laughing stops, and the bubbles go away, and that water starts circling the drain, my baby is never too happy. That’s when I whip out my secret weapon, Baby Dove’s Rich Moisture Lotion. I’ll dry her with a soft towel and head over to my bed to make sure I lock in that moisture. Once Kim realizes she is in for the best massage of her life she’ll start to laugh and play again. I mean, she’s only eleven months, but as far as she’s concerned, I’m a world-renowned masseuse. A little tickle here and there doesn’t hurt either. She, and I, love this stuff you guys! This lotion helps her retain moisture for up to 24 hours, and seriously works!

I really feel I’ve found the superior care I need forbathing my baby, and I’m so happy I could share my experience with these products with you. Baby Dove products can now also be personalized with your babies name, so I am absolutely loving how both of my girls get their own set, and I’m ok with them not sharing. The personalized special touch also makes this perfect for a holiday gift! It comes in a two-pack, since the wash and lotion really do go together. Now you can give the gift of healthy looking, moisturized skin and thank the makers of Baby Dove for it!

How cute is this personalized Dove product? We’ve been using Dove on our baby girl since she was born. It’s made quite a difference on her skin.

My second son had really dry skin as a baby. I felt so bad. I have another one coming in April so I will definitely look into getting this lotion. Thanks for the tip!
