How I plan to stick to my weight loss goals this year

This post is sponsored by FAGE, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Let me start off by saying, I’m no fitness expert. I’m just a mom of two who enjoys working out and really needs an extra push to sticking to her goals this year. I had my second daughter in December of 2018 and never really got back into a consistent workout routine or stuck to healthy eating habits like I promised myself I’d do. This year I’m finally making a plan and setting myself up for success. With a few easy steps you can too.

Here are three things I plan on implementing to achieve my weight loss goals this year, and lose the extra weight for good.

1. Start a consistent workout routine.

I know I know, easier said than done. But I promise you, when you start working out it is the best feeling ever. One thing that really helps me to get into the mood for working out is picking out a cute outfit that I feel confident in at the gym, that or a cute new pair of shoes. Once I feel good about working out I pick my plan of attack. Will I start walking more this week, will I go for a jog, or will I take up yoga? There are so many ways you can start to implement your own workout routine. Just make sure you pick something that is fun for you and brings you enjoyment. If you like what you’re doing, you’re more likely to stick with it and get on a consistent regimen.

Pro tip, always pack a snack for after your workout! I always carry FAGE Total Plain 0% Greek 6 oz. Yogurt in my bag. A yogurt with a bag of almonds and water, and you are set! You just never know if you’ll have to run an errand after, and it’s always great to be prepared.

2. Drink more water

This is one I am terrible at, and have always had so much trouble with. My day usually begins with a big cup of coffee, heavy on the creamer and sugar. But this year, I’ve cut out the morning coffee and exchanged it for a glass of water. Drinking water right when you wake up will help you reduce the acidity in your stomach and filter out toxins. It’s also been known to help you with your metabolism and digest your food more effectively. Drinking water also helps me feel fuller in between meals, which I think is a total plus! Another way to feel fuller is to implement FAGE Total 0% Plain Greek Yogurt in between meals. Not only is it a great snack, but with only 90 calories per serving and 18 grams of protein, FAGE will help you hit your protein goals for the day as well!

3. Eat healthier meals

I’m not the most creative when it comes to making my own meals. But I know what works for me and what helps me stick to a healthy diet throughout the day. My breakfast. When I start my day out right I tend to stick to my plan as the day goes on. That’s why I love FAGE Total 0% Plain Greek Yogurt. I love that I can add my favorite fruits and toppings to make it customizable to me, and switch it from one day to the next. My favorite toppings to add to an already creamy, and delicious base are, berries, granola, honey, and almonds. There’s no added sugar, it’s protein-rich, and a great source of calcium. When you start your day off with a great breakfast it sets the tone for the rest of your day, so you’re more likely to stick to your plan and achieve your weight loss goals. A healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with exercise is key to achieving my final results.

I’m excited for a new year, a new me, and a new mindset. I’m so pumped to share my weight loss journey with you as the months go by, and a few tips and tricks along the way, so stay tuned!
